The official chicken roll of the Canterbury Cricket Club has arrived... We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Pop's Postie Roll!

As part of their new loyalty program Postie Pal, the shop will be donating their iconic chicken rolls to the Club to be enjoyed at tea for select home games at Canterbury Sports Ground. A real treat for both Canterbury players and the lucky opposition!
They’re at 104 Maling Road in Canterbury, just a couple of minutes from CCC. Even better, there’s a special Club connection: owner Hayden’s brother-in-law is our very own former player, Levi King!
We are thrilled to announce this partnership and encourage all members to give Pop's Postie Roll a visit for a delicious (and cheap!) chicken roll.
Pop's Postie Roll: A Family Tradition
Our story begins in a small family run post office, where our founder worked for many years. In 2013, inspired by the Irish heritage of his grandfather's or Pop as he was affectionately known, he embarked on a gap year to explore the land of his ancestors. While in Ireland, he stumbled upon a culinary delight that would change his life: the humble Chicken Fillet Roll. Much like the iconic Aussie hardware store sausage sizzle, this Irish treat was a beloved staple found in post offices and newsagents across the country. Priced at a mere 6 Euros, it was a delicious and affordable snack that captivated locals and tourists alike. Intrigued by its popularity and unique flavour, our founder knew he had to bring this culinary gem back to Australia. And so, the seed for Pop's Postie Roll was planted
A Dream Takes Flight
Fast forward to 2024. After years of honing his skills in the food industry, our founder was ready to return to his roots and support his family's post office business. Inspired by the challenges faced by many post offices during the cost-of-living crisis, he envisioned a venture that would not only revitalize the family business but also uplift communities across Australia.
Drawing inspiration from his Irish heritage, he turned to a beloved tradition: the freshly made chicken fillet roll. This iconic Irish snack had captured the hearts of locals and tourists alike, offering a delicious and affordable meal. The family affectionately dubbed it "Pop's Postie Roll," a tribute to their Irish roots and the post office's central role in the community. With a passion for good food and a desire to bring joy to others, our founder embarked on a mission to introduce Australia to this mouthwatering delight.
