Fresh and Familiar Faces Join Canterbury Women Ahead of Season 2025/26

CCC is excited to announce key player signings ahead of Season 2025/26.

Emma Sands returns to the club in a coaching and playing capacity, whilst Rachael Harris and Johanna Bailey join our Women’s program for the first time.

"Emma is well loved down the club and her talents, coaching and mentoring are well known," Head Coach Tony Smith said.

Meanwhile, Johanna is coming off a solid season with both bat and ball, making 249 runs at 24.9 (including top-scoring in the EGWC Grand Final) and taking 14 wickets at 21.5.

Rachael had a career-best season, amassing 719 runs at an incredible average of 143.8, which included four hundreds and four fifties. She also had a great season with the ball, taking 12 wickets at an average of 14.92, with a best of 3-21.

“We have been busy in the off-season and are proud to welcome Johanna Bailey and Rachael Harris to the club,” Head of CCC Women’s Program Tony Smith said. “Quality people first and quality players to add to our magnificent younger talent that shone last year,” he continued.

“We are hoping to announce more soon, who will add to our playing stocks and fit in with the coaching staff.”
