Click this link above to register for junior cricket at CCC this season!!

Registrations are now open for the 2020/21 season and will remain open without restrictions or additional fees up until the 4th of September.  We expect great interest in players wishing to be a part of our club with our aim to have at least 18 teams representing Canterbury Junior Cricket Club plus over 50 players registered for the Blaster programs.  Details regarding how to register and our club philosophy can be found on our website  We are required to have our teams into the ECA by the 15th of September, so we cannot guarantee a spot after this date.

We understand that there will be some uncertainty this season.  The ECA is planning to get the junior season underway on the weekend of the 24/25th of October, but this will obviously be dependent on the government restrictions at the time.  If the season is shortened, we will offer appropriate refunds as we understand how the season will progress.

Blast Program - Previously Milo / T20 cricket

Junior Blasters and Master Blasters is the introductory program for children aged between 5-9.  Junior Blasters is an introductory level program which is designed for children aged 5 - 7 and is on Saturday morning from 9am - 10am at Canterbury Cricket Ground.  Further details can be found on our website at

Girls Cricket

CCC was represented by 3 girls teams in the Inner East Girls Competition (IEGC) last season. We cater for older primary school girls through to high school girls and no prior cricket experience is needed! Teams will be based on age, experience, skills and friendships. Games are played on Wednesday evenings with the option of Sunday morning games (for older girls) being considered by the IEGC.

Please contact our girls cricket coordinator, Alison Mitchell, at with enquiries.

Age Group Coordinators / Coaches Meeting  / Team Managers / Club Volunteers

As always, in order for things to work smoothly we need people to volunteer to fill roles within the Club.  As the club has grown, the need for people to punt their hand up has become greater.  Jobs can be shared for those who are time poor and might not be comfortable in committing to being the sole representative for a specific role   I would ask all coaches to ensure they have a current Working with Children Certificate and their coaching recognition with Cricket Australia (CA) is up to date.  All our coaches are required to have a CA coaches ID and are expected to complete the Community Coaches course. I would also like to hear from Team Managers from last year who wish to continue to carry out this important role and those parents who wish to help out for the first time this season.  It is a vital role and the earlier we know who is prepared to help out the smoother our season goes.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to understand what roles would be available.

Grading / Team Selection

Due to the Covid restrictions that are currently in place, we will not be able to conduct the grading sessions that we normally would.  This season, more than others, we will be required to be flexible with teams in the early stage of the season to ensure that cricketers are playing in the appropriate grade.

I ask that you all register as soon as possible and I look forward to another very successful cricket season!
