T20 Blast

 

MILO T20 Blast is an exciting format for cricketers, both boys and girls, aged 8 to 12 years, which enables them to convert their basic cricket skills into exciting games of T20.

 

Canterbury Junior Cricket Club plays T20 Blast at Macleay Park in Balwyn on a Friday night from 5.30pm to 7pm. 

 

Training is on Saturday mornings at Canterbury Sportsground between 9am and 10.30am.  A BBQ is available after the training.

 

Each player registering for T20 Blast will receive a pack from Cricket Victoria and a Canterbury Cricket Cap from the Club.

 

This season, Canterbury is fielding over three T20 teams.  It is not too late to register and be part of the fun.  To register your child in the program, click here to be redirected to our T20 cricket registrations.

T20 Blast Format

The MILO T20 Blast program is a fast paced competition based on the T20 cricket format, which allows junior cricketers to play a meaningful game of cricket in a shorter period of time.

Key Aspects of MILO T20 Blast are:

  • Shorter games - MILO T20 Blast sessions run for a maximum of 60-75 minutes and include skill activities and a modified T20 game format
  • 8 kids per side, with all participants getting an equal opportunity at bowling and batting
  • No need for protective equipment, with a soft style cricket ball used, and
  • No change of bowling ends to keep the game moving.
